Counselling is an integral and core program of Catholic Family Services of Toronto. We offer individual, couple, family and group counselling.
Our professional counselling staff help people resolve problems that challenge their lives. The helping process acknowledges the needs, strengths, values and goals of individuals and families. Our counsellors recognise and sensitively respond to differences in cultural, racial, gender, and religious backgrounds of clients.
Individual Counselling
People seek individual counselling for a variety of reasons. Otherwise healthy individuals may from time to time find life’s circumstances difficult to manage alone.
Couple Counselling
Includes relationship building, restoring intimacy, increasing healthy communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, or other relationship concerns.
Family Counselling
Includes parenting issues, response to changing family structures, issues related to being separated and divorced, stresses of single parent families, blended families, dual career families, cultural adjustments, etc.
Counselling Groups
Being A Dad – A program to assist fathers to end their abusive behaviours and make positive changes in their parenting skills.
Choosing to Change – A group for men who have used abuse in their relationships with female partners and wish to change.
Because Kids are Worth It! – Groups for children and pre-teens dealing with issues of family break-up, loss and grief.
